Trump Deletes Opposition to Marijuana Legalization from White House Website

It’s the usual practice for an incoming president to completely wipe and rebuild the White House website, but President Donald Trump’s job of it has raised some eyebrows in the marijuana advocacy community.

The 45th President has removed the Office of National Drug Control Policy from the site, which included the Obama Administration’s opposition to marijuana legalization. Also deleted: LGBTQ rights, civil rights and climate change.

The move hardly indicates a reveal of Trump’s pending stance on marijuana legalization, especially in light of his appointment of the notoriously anti-marijuana Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

As Marijuana Majority’s Tom Angell wrote on his Facebook page, the changes are really just “a broader transition reset and aren’t themselves any kind of policy indication.”
